It feels surreal to say that Ren finally has a physical location . . . well, sort of . . .
Back in May of this year, we teamed up with our name twins for a special AAPI Heritage Month pop-up event featuring hand-whisked Ren matcha lattes and a curated Ren Sichuan tasting plate (Read more on that here). With 100+ sold-out tickets and such a beautiful afternoon celebrating culture, food, and community, we felt inspired to keep building on that energy.
Now, we’re excited to introduce “Residence at Ren” – a pop-up cafe concept happening in that same space with our friends at Ren Sichuan in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Every first Saturday of the month from 10-3 pm, we take up residence inside Ren Sichuan's gorgeous restaurant space and serve our signature matcha lattes as well as some fun, seasonal exclusives from the drink bar.
The doors are open for everyone – whether you come with a book, a laptop, or simply to grab a matcha latte to go for your morning walk around the neighborhood.
Around noon, the kitchen comes alive and drinks can also be paired with Ren Sichuan's full menu featuring cozy small plates and handmade dim sum.
For us, Residence at Ren allows us to share something steady with our community while we continue building out a physical storefront of our own behind the scenes.
